Strategy WriterDecision-ready strategy and implementation plan
Why Strategy Writer?
From target decision to a decision-ready CREM strategy
An adopted target vision only becomes an effective management instrument when its consequences are formulated consistently, transparently and with a focus on implementation. Many strategy documents fail not because of missing chapters, but because of structural deficiencies: statements cannot be traced back to the analysis, different chapters pursue contradictory directions, or target values suggest a degree of precision that is not supported by any reliable baseline. Such documents create approval, but no sound basis for decision-making and implementation.
The Strategy Writer therefore systematically translates the confirmed target decision into a decision-ready CREM strategy. It specifies the target vision across 13 interlinked strategic fields – from strategic objectives, governance, portfolio and organization to services, processes, data, ESG and economic viability through to implementation, roadmap and ongoing development.
A strict prohibition on making new decisions applies here: the module must not subsequently make directional choices during the drafting process. Every normative statement must be derivable from a confirmed target position or an activated change lever.
In addition, coherence conditions between the strategic fields are reviewed. Portfolio decisions must fit the financial model, governance the organizational structure, sourcing the processes and operator obligations, and the roadmap the resources and target system.
Statements on impact require a documented evidence base; target values require robust baselines. Missing information is made visible as decision or data placeholders, not concealed by assumptions.
The result is not a descriptive report, but a consistent decision paper with clear measures, responsibilities, economic logic and a prioritized implementation path.
